Entering toilet

بِسْمِ اللهِ اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Transliteration

Bismillāhi allāhumma innī a'udzu bika minal khubutsi wal khabā'its

Translation

In the name of Allah, O Allah, I seek refuge in You from male and female devils.

The barrier between the eyes of the jinn and the private parts of humans when entering the bathroom (toilet) is the recitation of Bismillah.” (Narrated by Sunan At-Tirmidhi no. 606 and Sunan Ibn Majah no. 297 authenticated by Al-Albani.

It protects a person from the jinn. It covers and safeguards one’s private parts. It follows the Prophet’s teaching. It reminds us to seek Allah’s protection.
